For many of the tutorials you will see on my site, most of them require a square sheet of paper. Most of you reading this are unable to find a perfectly square sheet of paper lying around in your home. Using this tutorial, you can easily create a square piece of paper out of a rectangular piece of paper that requires no measurements!

Step #1

Fold one corner of the paper to the opposite side so the edges line up to create a triangle and crease.

Step #2

Fold the small rectangle under or over the triangle and crease. Make sure that the crease of the rectangle and the edge of the triangle match up. To make this crease crisp, try creasing this area multiple times.

Step #3

Once you are satisfied with your crease, unfold your triangle.

Step #4

There are two ways to remove the rectangle so that you can obtain your square:

1.) Cut along to crease using scissors

or

2.) Using a small amount of saliva, lick the crease on both sides and tear apart slowly.

Step #5

After removing the rectangle, you should be left with a square piece of paper that has a diagonal crease going from one corner to another.
